Students Bringing Miracles to Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo

Last month, student leaders from Bowling Green State University’s (BGSU) Dance Marathon and the University of Toledo’s Rockethon took tours of Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo. This gave students the opportunity to meet hospital staff members and see firsthand how the funds they raise each year impact patients and families at the hospital.

Hailey Kurtz, Overall Director for BGSU’s Dance Marathon, said that “having the unique opportunity to tour Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo, the hospital that provides lifesaving care for the kids that our organization spends a year raising money for was incredibly special. We had the chance to see the work that our donations are doing to change kid’s health which was extremely motivating to ramp up our fundraising efforts. This hospital and all the children that get treatment there are so close to our hearts and we love helping them make miracles happen!”

Students from both universities host local fundraisers throughout the year leading up to their Dance Marathon programs. BGSU’s Dance Marathon will take place on April 1-2, 2023, and the University of Toledo’s Rockethon will take place on April 15, 2023.
